Are you on the right road?
Going in the right direction? Are you veering off course? How do you know if you are doing the right thing for what God wants for you?
Those are good questions and I know where you can find those answers.
Well… The most important step is to ask God for such direction. If you trust Him, He will lead you, with the operative word being “if.”
I’m just a guy on a journey constantly seeking God’s direction and God’s will for my life. To that end, I am glad He gave me the wisdom to document certain desires and write down answered prayers in my notes to myself that I keep along the way.
When we listen to God and let Him inspire us, He will direct our path on a daily basis as well as an annual basis. We just have to ask and then trust His plan. Remember, God is a Shepard above all shepards. He will reign us in and guide us when you are asking to follow His plan. (I just got a peaceful smile 🙂 when I wrote that last sentence). PRAISE the One that steers us and comforts us. Thank you God!
In direct response to a question I asked God yesterday, the Lord led me to open up my Bible this morning to the following scripture:
2 Corinthians 8:10-12 (New King James Version)
“And in this I Give advice: it is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago, but now you must also complete the doing of it, that there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. For there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. ”
Those verses prompted me to read what I wrote one year ago today to myself on November 27, 2011. I checked my notebook and Wow! God is so telling! I am so glad I write this stuff down.
I know I am on the right path when He leads me to certain scripture and it gives me clear direction and instructions. You can find guidance in His Word, the Living Bible.
Always pray that God’s “will” will be done and we don’t put our selfish desires ahead of His. Our personal desires will line up with His plan for us when we constantly seek His will for us as individuals.
I am so thankful God is on my journey with me, leading me. My God is awesome and I need to share that message today. I love you all.
Love you too, Tim.
