Watered Trees

Banked and snowed-in trees standing tall in calm-fashion for all 24 hours,

overlooking the reservoir they are erected as stemless towers

The Lord protects them, He protects them night and day, when the sky is radiating gold, even when it’s gray

For when it’s gray they receive their waters,

Throughout their stay they follow their nature-given orders

Watered every moment as per Isaiah 27:3,

sharing beauty to the eye revealing God’s gracious…glory

Giving shelter to the wayward mink, the trees do not worry for they will always drink

Are these trees thrilled with their 24 hour standing, every sparrow is seen as it comes in for a landing

Even if the sparrow falls to the ground

trees everywhere are to be found

Standing tall night and day,

Proliferated abundantly throughout the USA

If God waters all these trees

Doesn’t He hear us in every frustrated complaint when we say “Oh jeez!”

These trees shall never die of thirst,

getting revived with every glazed snowburst

Thank you Lord, thank you for your Word, give these trees company with a peaceful new bird

Darlings and starlings they may fly away

but these trees stand tall each and every day

How many times I have said “oh jeez”!, but now I’ll remember His trees. Another writing that I’m so thankful for!
